Yesterday, 2/05/12, at 11:08 am at Shell station at 1370 Camden Ave and Erin Way near Hwy 17 in Campbell CA. I inadvertently left my wallet at the cashier window after purchasing cigarettes. I returned today and a review of the security tapes showed that I had indeed left my wallet on the counter, and it was not picked up by the Shell cashier but by the next customer served at that window. Anyone with information regarding this please contact me William Heinrich, no questions asked. This is not an attempt to trap anyone, there will be no legal issues, I just would like my wallet back with credit cards.

While I do hope you get your wallet back, I agree with m6, call the banks and get everything cancelled/replaced, and file a police report.

I think I'd be putting a stop on all my credit cards, alert my bank to freeze my debit card and try to get the police involved.

I highly doubt that the person who took your wallet just happens to be a San Jose Gas Buddy who also just happens to read Off Topic threads but hey, you never know. Knot sure how good an idea it was to lay out the personal inforamtion in such a public thread though. Ever had issues with I.D. theft - that is, before your wallet debacle?

Good luck, ffCA.
