When ever I get to a half a tank the engine just kills there is no warning or anything it just kills. I put fuel cleaner in the tank like 4 days ago. Can anybody tell my what is wrong with my car? Thanks

p.s. the car is a 98 cirrus

I run between 1/2 and full because if you constantly run low on fuel you make your gas pump work overtime and burn it out. Not a fun project replacing the fuel pump in the gas tank. Can get expensive to.

You didnt specify what engine size you had, but I checked TSB's on both. nothing really noted on fuel problems with that vehicle. Have you replaced your fuel filter recently? could be a fuel pump issue also.

Sounds like something with the pressurization system. If your check engine light is on, I'd almost guarantee it, in fact.
