I read an article yesterday documenting the last production run of the Dodge Viper. The iconic American sports car was one of the most unique sports car ever built in the United States, equipped with a powerful V-10 engine. It was a "race car with a license plate" from its inception in 1992, and in race car terms, very affordable. Most race cars have a price tag stating at around $225,000.00 and can reach into the millions. Dodge was able to produce a competitive entry level street legal car that could easily become a racer with minor modifications, for a bit over $50,000.00 (1992). The final versions of the vehicle are pushing $86,000.00 but still well below a Porche 911...
