For all my LDS friends here who may not have seen this otherwise, I offer you the following article from the Deseret News:

LDS leader ties record for longevity

From the article: "As of today, Nov. 2, 2006, President Hinckley is 96 years old, plus 132 days — the same age that President McKay was when he died on Jan. 18, 1970. President Hinckley is thus poised to become the oldest-ever church president Friday."

If President Hinckley lives another 8 years he will pass President McKay 19 years.

He is an amazing man. I always thought Thomas Monson would be a prophet someday, but GBH is like the energizer bunny.
