RINdriver - You can't be serious?
Have you seen the crazy reasons gas prices go up? West coast had refineries offline and the price went high all over the nation. Why wouldn't go up all over because of this!
This is just another excuse for them to use to jack it back up to $4!

If power is out, expect gas to not be sold, and expect people to not be driving or demanding as much, so prices should drop temporarily as supply exceeds demand.

Sure they are. They are ALWAYS READY to crank those numbers up to the highest price possible. I think they could probably go to $999.999 per gallon if they so desired. And don't think anyone would protect you from them doing that either.
Sandy? What? Most overhyped piece of nothing this world has ever seen. Now even WEATHERMEN want their fame and money. For false predictions.
